Executive Function

Executive function disorders impact a person's ability to plan, organize, schedule, and analyze information or complete tasks with deadlines.

Executive Function

Success in school or in business can be adversely impacted by poorly developed executive function skills. They are a collection of basic skills people draw on for managing time and performing tasks–and neurological disorders like ADHD can affect an individual's ability to perform or even learn how to foster these skills.

Common symptoms include:

  • Difficulty with planning or organizing
  • Lacking ability to manage mental focus or concentrate on tasks
  • Inability to remember details
  • Finding multitasking to be challenging
  • Trouble managing emotions, outbursts, or behavior
